PPDA COMMEMORATES IDUAI 2025
The Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) join the rest of the world in commemorating the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) 2025.
At PPDA, access to information lies at the heart of our mandate to Regulate, Monitor, And Oversee Public Procurement and Disposal processes.
We believe that when people are empowered with information, they are better positioned to demand accountability and participate meaningfully in governance.
The commemoration of IDUAI 2025 is, therefore, not only symbolic but also a reaffirmation of our institutional commitment to openness and integrity in all procurement-related activities.
The 2025 theme strongly resonates with PPDA’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, particularly through the Malawi National Electronic Government Procurement System (MANePS).
This system is revolutionizing the way procurement is conducted in Malawi by promoting transparency, efficiency, and equal access to opportunities.
Through MANePs, procuring and disposing entities, suppliers, and the public can access timely information on procurement plans, tenders, and contract awards, thereby reducing corruption risks and enhancing public confidence in the procurement process.
