Barely a week into PPDA’s nationwide MANePS handholding exercise, 33 percent of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) had already uploaded their Annual Procurement Plans onto the Malawi National Electronic Procurement System (MANePS).

Progress reflects growing momentum in the adoption of the electronic procurement platform following Government’s directive making use of MANePS for all government procurements mandatory effective 1 April 2026.

PPDA teams, reinforced by officials from the e-Government Department, are currently on the ground across different regions assisting Procuring and Disposing Entities (PDEs) with the upload process and system orientation.
